She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Basile of Foristell, MO; She is preceded in death by her father, Harry McGurthy, mother, Mary McGurthy nee Vogan, husband, Andrew Basile, sister, Jessie Biring, sister, Ethel Soest, sister, Mabel Hinze, sister, Gladys Doughty, brother, Louie McGurthy, brother, Harry McGurthy, brother, Norman McGurthy. She was known as “Grandma” by Bella Fischer, Kevin Stoops, Danielle Stoops, Lauren Darter, Stephen Fischer. Virginia worked for many years at the Universal Match Company. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
