Carpenter, Thomas Kimberly Thomas was born on Mar- ch 18, 1933 in Washing- ton D.C., and died at his home in Buffalo, Wyoming on May 26, 2014. He re ceived his education at the Blake and Hotchkiss schools and attended Yale Univer- sity followed by 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. After several years at the family lumber company; interest- ed in becoming an auctioneer, Tom attend the Reppert School of Auctioneering at Christy’s and the Certified Auctioneer Institute at Indiana University. Tom became an Independent Real Estate Broker, Appraiser, Advisor and Auctioneer. He is survived by his wife, Nicky of Wayzata; daughter, Virginia Carpenter of Wayzata, son George Carpenter, of Buffalo, WY, daughter in law, Janet Carpenter, St. Louis Park, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Geraldine and Leonard Carpenter; one daughter, Caroline Carpenter; one son, James Carpenter; and a sister, Nina Masek. His grandfather, was one of the founding members of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, now the Minnesota Orchestra and Tom served on the Board from 1971-1977.
