Age 72, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006 after a long struggle with diabetes. He was born on February 7, 1934 in Clinton Co. the son of Aloysius and Elizabeth Droste. Tom was a lifelong resident of Westphalia and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. He worked as a salaried employee for General Motors retiring in 1988 and was an active member of several local organizations, including 12 years on the Pewamo-Westphalia School Board. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Georgiana (Charles) Clark and brother-in-law, James Pung. Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janet (Keilen); 3 sons Tim of Lansing, Tom (LeAnn) of DeWitt, and Ted (Becky) of Pewamo; Thomas also had 6 grandchildren who were the inspiration of the last several years of his life, Dena and Heidi (children of Tom and LeAnn) and Amber, Olivia, Isabelle, Tyler (children of Ted and Becky).; Tom had 3 sisters surviving Alice (Sam) Donohue, Wilma (John) Schafer and Pat Pung; one brother, Richard (Bernadette) Droste.
