Theodore “Ted” Rudnik, 83, of Angus, MN, passed away on Thursday evening, Janaury 22, 2009 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.

Theodore Joseph Rudnik was born on March 17, 1925 in Grafton, ND, the son of Isadore and Helen (Stoltman) Rudnik. He was raised in Harrison Township, Walsh County, ND. Theodore attended country school and also at schools in Grafton, Orr, ND and Inkster, ND. After his schooling, he lived in rural Minto, ND where he farmed. In 1956, he moved to rural Angus where he continued to farm. On January 15, 1972, he married Margaret Black. He retired from farming in 1985. Margaret died on December 14, 2006.

Ted was active in thoroughbred horse racing having owned and raced many horses throughout the United States and Canada.

Left to mourn his passing are a niece and a nephew, Helen (Handre) Coetzee of Namibia, Africa and Ralph (LeeAnn) Rudnik of Crookston, MN; eight great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece; one great-great-nephew and several other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; brother and sister-in-law, Clarion and Florence Rudnik and nephew, David Rudnik.
