Our beloved Mother, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022. She was born August 6, 1947 in Hastings, MI, daughter of Keith and Betty (Wohlscheid) Merryfield. Sharon was a lifelong farmer and also worked many years in retail at Gantos, JCPenney’s and Macy’s. She found great joy in helping others with their fashion style.
Mom was a woman of great compassion and without pause would be at the side of a loved one in their time of need or despair. She was a very giving woman in that she enjoyed giving far above receiving.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jeffery Sandborn; and sister Kitty Arnesen. Surviving are her husband, John Ackerson; children, Jeffery (Allison) Sandborn, Rhonda Kluess, Rebecca Sandborn, Kristina (Chris) Hover, Cory (Melissa) Ackerson, Tom (Fernanda) Ackerson, and Nikki (Jason) Garrett; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Richard) Capps, Keith (Michelle) Merryfield, Ken Merryfield; also, several very special friends.
