Ruby Gaynell Ford, 97, of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of Sligo, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, August 4, 2007 at the Gibbs Care Center in Steelville. She was born Saturday, July 16, 1910 in Manistee County, Michigan, the daughter of Christian Aaron and Ide Belle (nee Fagar) Helfrich. Ruby was united in marriage to Wendell P. Ford on December 19, 1929 in Copemish, Michigan and to this union one daughter was born. After 64 years of marriage, Wendell preceded her in death on November 14, 1993.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Carrie Archer and husband Bill of Sligo, Missouri; three grandchildren, Diana McDonald and husband Terry of Greenville, Texas, Debbie Schulke and husband Emil Jr. of Sligo, Missouri and Gus Coleman and husband Allen of Cherryville, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Krista and Curtis McDonald, E.J. Schulke and wife Ashley, Jackie Schulke, Evan and Tyler Coleman, and two great-great-grandchildren, Eli Schulke and Gracie Welch; and other family friends.
Gaynell had worked at the service desk for Montgomery Ward. She was a member of the Sligo United Methodist Church.
