Ronald Lee Hotchkiss, age 66, of Ionia passed away at his home on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was born on May 17, 1956, the son of Orland and Madeline (Hopkins) Hotchkiss. Ron was a member of Palo United Methodist Church, loved to draw, cook and became known as a grill master to many. He worked for a catering company and at a foster home in Palo. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and mowing his lawn just right. He loved his family and his cats, Cash and Pickles. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margie Tomlinson. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Dawn; children, Joe (Heidi) Riley of North Adams, Brian (Misty) Riley of Ionia, and Karen Hotchkiss of Ionia; grandchildren, Carter and Madison Riley; siblings, Greg (Barb) Hotchkiss of Saranac, Jim (Lee) Hotchkiss of New Mexico, Tammy Curtis of Ionia, and Rick Hotchkiss of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews.
