Roger L. Clements

Age 86, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born on March 19, 1929 to Fredrick and Eleanor (Griffith) Clements. On June 20, 1953 he married, Yvonne Scutt and she preceded him in death in 2002 after nearly 50 years of marriage. Roger was a Navy Seabee during WWII, stationed on Guam, Okinawa, the Philippines and Hawaii. After his first tour of duty he signed up for the reserves and was called back to active duty during the Korean War serving another tour of duty most of which was on Adak in Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. He was employed a Ionia’s Mitchell Bentley Manufacturing facility upon returning home from active duty. He later worked in the building and asphalt industry. He retired from C&B Asphalt which he co-owned with his partners.
