Obituary
Robert E. Vardeman left this earthly home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 5, 2018 at SSM DePaul Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Bob was the second oldest son born to John B. and Mary Vardeman on July 15, 1944. He was educated in the St. Charles school system and on May 2, 1965 he went to serve in the Army. He considered his military service an honor and privilege. Bob’s first marriage was to Earline Barnett (deceased). Children of this marriage include Talton, Robert and Marry Francis. His second marriage to Phyllis (McRoberts) Tucker brought forth children Anthony “Tony”, John Curtis “Johnny” and Valerie. Bob loved fishing, playing cards and Dominoes. He enjoyed family gatherings and always enjoyed life to the fullest. Survivors include his children: Marry Vardeman, Potomac MD; Talton Barnett, Potomac, MD.; Anthony McRoberts (Annette), Warrenton, MO.; John Curtis Vardeman (Marcia), Wentzville, MO., Valerie Thomas (Jesse), Wentzville, MO.; sister, Mary Stewart, Dardenne Prairie, MO.; brother, Richard Vardeman (Lois), Jefferson City, MO. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. “Pops” was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert and brothers, John and Mitchell. Services for Robert will be held September 13, 2018 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO. 63385 Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks promptly at 1:30 pm. Repast scheduled after interment at 900 Town Square, Dardenne Prairie, MO.
