Robert “Bob” Charles Webster, 86, of Cuba, MO, formerly of Steelville, MO passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Cuba Manor. He was born February 23, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to Charles and Helen (Haun) Webster. On April 6, 1952, he was united in marriage to Erma L. Fink in Corinth, MS who survives.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-six years, Erma Webster; one daughter, Peggy Stewart and husband William of Piedmont, SD; one brother, Harry G. Webster of Warner Robins, Georgia; two grandchildren, Christine Newell of Rapid City, SD and Michael Vrooman of Denver, CO; two nephews, Carl S. Gorgon of Wildwood, Mo and Earl Fink of O’Fallon, MO; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Webster.

“Bob” was retired from the U. S. Army as a Command Sgt. Major and the St. Louis County Police at the rank of Lt. in 1984. He was a lifetime member of the Steelville VFW, member of the Cuba American Legion of Cuba, Post Commander of the 16th District American Legion, member of the Greater St. Louis Parachute Club, Past President of the St. Louis Mason Police Craft, member and Past Patron of the Martha Ray Chapter and Easter Star, Past Master and a 50 year member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #77 of Steelville, member of the Rolla Chapter 32 and Past High Priest, member of the Rolla Council 39 and Past Illustrious Master, member of the Rolla Commandry 59 and Past Commander.
