Ricky Lee Kirkland, age 68, passed away on January 20, 2023. He was born in Pascagoula, MS to R.L. Kirkland and Louise Green Kirkland on June 4, 1954.
Ricky graduated from Mississippi State University with a four-year degree that he used to work in many places, including New Orleans, LA, and Jackson, MS. He also worked at General Dynamics in Camden, AR for many years. Ricky came back home and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after many years of service to spend his days hunting, fishing, and loving the outdoors. He loved to spend hours in his woodworking shop in his backyard. He made many friends and loved to spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his sister Dianne K. Crisman and her husband Hank of Pascagoula, MS; brother, Michael L. Kirkland and his wife Patrice of Harvey, LA; nephews, Christopher A. Crisman of Pascagoula, MS, and Thomas F. Crisman of Bakersfield, CA; and a host of many other friends and family members.
