Gorham- Richard J. Tanguay, 69, formerly of Westbrook, passed away on May 22, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Westbrook, a son of Albert and Anna (Richard) Tanguay. Richard was an equipment operator at Northern Utilities for many years before retiring. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with family members.
He was pre-deceased by siblings, Theresa Mondor, Joe Tanguay, Annette Ledoux, Leo Tanguay, Maurice Tanguay, Irene Trepanier and his beloved dog, Spud.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Calvert and his wife Michele of South Carolina, Dr. Philip Calvert, Ph.D., and his wife Kristen of Arizona; siblings, Yvette Girouard and her husband Raymond of Westbrook, Rita Tardiff of Gorham, Connie Baillargeon of Westbrook, Henry Tanguay and his wife Rita of Gray, Philip Tanguay and his wife Ida of Westbrook and Margaret Palmer of Gorham.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
