Richard Franklin Johnson, 90, of Davisville, Missouri passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 in Lesterville, MO. He was born February 4, 1921 in Liberty, MO to James Burgis Johnson and Emma Beusau Johnson. On March 17, 1941 in Potosi, MO, he was united in marriage to Alice Elizabeth Jaycox.
Richard served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He worked in trucking and logging for many years in Huntsville, MO and retired back to his original home area. Hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies.
He is survived by one son, Roger Johnson and wife Kay of Black, MO; five daughters, Betty Johnson and husband Coy of Black, MO, Patsy Harris and husband Darwin and Francis Johnson all of Moberly, MO and Brenda Wallace and husband Curtis and Christine Morris all of Huntsville, MO; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice;one daughter, Margaret; one brother, J.B. Johnson; two sisters, Edwina Salsbury and Margaret McCarter; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
