Richard “Dick” Alan McInnis, 69, of Steelville, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Sullivan Life Care Center in Sullivan, Missouri.
Dick was born Saturday, February 12, 1938 in St. James, Missouri, the son of John Haskell and Bella Hester (nee Carpenter) McInnis. Dick was united in marriage to Beverly Summers on July 13, 1969 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union three daughters and one son were born.
Those left to morn his passing are his wife Beverly of 38 years; three daughters, Kristy Kay McInnis of Los Angles, California, Cara Ridenhour and husband Kyle of St. James, Missouri and Laura Beth McInnis of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one son, James Alan McInnis of Steelville, Missouri; one brother, Donald Haskell McInnis of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Mary McInnis of Washington, D.C. and Hallie Jean Slowensky of Steelville, Missouri’ three sisters-in-law, Betty Bryan and husband Windell of Steelville, Missouri, Georgia Mitchell of Steelville, Missouri, Clara Jo Picarella and husband Louis of Festus, Missouri; and one brother-in-law, John Summers and wife Joan of Cedar Hill, Missouri; three grandchildren, Shelby Ridenhour, Olivia McInnis, and Austin Ridenhour. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Bill Slowensky and Levi Mitchell.
Dick farmed all his life and enjoyed the outdoors. He had a love for horses and all animals.
