Phyllis Stinar, 57, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009 at her home in Warren with her family by her side.
Phyllis Hilda Aasand was born October 10, 1952 in Warren, the daughter of Melvin and Marie (Flaten) Aasand. She grew up on a farm west of Argyle, MN. She graduated from Argyle High School in 1970. While attending the Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN, she started working at the Marshall County Extension Office in Warren in December 1970 where she continued to work until her retirement on March 31, 2007. She married Lyle Jorgenson in February 1971. They had two children – Lynette and Jason. In October 1996, she married Don Stinar.
Phyllis was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 27 serving in various offices, GFWC Warren Women’s Club, Marshall County Fair Parade Association and served as a Commissioner for the Warren Housing Redevelopment Association.
