Pauline “Alma” Thurmond, 54, of Cuba, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital in Washington, MO. She was born November 22, 1954 at Old Mines, MO to Harold and Gladys (Haffer) Hammond. On March 24, 1974, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Thurmond who survives of the home.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Jim, of Cuba, MO; her mother, Gladys Hammond of Irondale, MO; one son, Keith Hammond of Cuba, MO; one sister, Gladys Marie Woods of Irondale, MO; and one grandson, Austin Michael Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hammond; two brothers, Harold Steve Hammond and Dennis Paul Hammond; and two sisters, Ina Laverne Hammond and Ida Louise Willard.
In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, watching tv and playing Bingo.
