Patricia (Pat) Ann Upton Kersteter, age 87 passed away on Saturday December 10, 2022 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Pat was born on November 4, 1935 in Bay Springs, MS to Thomas (Grady) and Mable Upton. She moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1945, graduating from Pascagoula High in 1953, employed at Ingalls/Litton Shipbuilding in Nuclear Power and Engineering Administration and retiring after 26 years of service. Pat was of the Lutheran faith. She married Ammon Warner Kersteter on April 1, 1977 and they remained as one until his death in 2017.
In addition to her parents and beloved Kirk she was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Joseph Carlson, Kenneth Alan Carlson, Patric Upton and Steven Kersteter, grandson, Timothy Upton, great- granddaughter Saylor Kovasovic and two sons-in-law, Robert Conner and Daniel Shepherd.
She is survived by two children, Tanya Shepherd of Gautier, MS, and Randy (Pam) Carlson of Montgomery, TX, three step-children, Mike (Patsy) Kersteter, Cathy Conner Lodge (Ned), Scott (Cathy) Kersteter of Delaware and daughter-in-law Debbie Upton of Colorado. Six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.
