Nora Ellen Brust, age 89, of Portland went to be with Jesus on January 4, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1932 in Newport, Arkansas to Frank and Jessie (Dye) Walker. Nora was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Portland, W.M.C., and the Red Hatters. She enjoyed embroidery, coloring, and painting in her free time.
Preceding Nora in death are her parents; husband, Jess Brust; son, Donald Griffin; infant son, Ronald; siblings, Rosalee Tarrence, Robert Walker, Franklin Walker, Jr., and James Waller. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Duane) Miller; stepson, Don Brust; stepdaughter, Cathy; grandchildren, Patricia Hopkins, Jason (Richelle) Miller, Eryn Bastian, Kevin Griffin, April (Jason) Litchfield, and Ashlee Brust; 12 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Waller.
