Nellie Mae Galt, 87, of Whittier, California passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007. She was born Tuesday, October 14, 1919, the daughter of Daniel W. and Cora l. (nee Anderson) Pyatt. Nellie was united in marriage to Homer W. Galt on November 20, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband Homer of 58 years of Whittier, California; four grandchildren, Ravina Engler and husband Don, Tamora Galt, Kurt Galt, and Conan Galt; one brother, Noah Pyatt and wife Juanita of Cherryville, Missouri; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Galt; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Esco Pyatt and wife Eula, Otto Pyatt and wife Martha, Lushen Pyatt and wife Alice and John Pyatt; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Della Dicus and husband Ray, Mahaley Tidwell and husband John, Irene Bryant and husband Willie and Mary Dotson and husband William.
Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Nellie was one to care about friends, always keeping touch with the many here in Missouri. She loved her family, loved all children as her own. Nellie will be missed by all who knew her.
