NEW ALBANY- Mr. Charles Edward Crayton, 66, passed away On Tuesday afternoon, January 16, 2018, God whispered to Mr. Charles Edward Crayton, “My son, your work here on Earth is done, it’s time for you to come home.” He accepted his call peacefully. Charles was born in Union County, MS on November 17, 1951 to the late Judge Thomas and Elizabeth Jeffries Crayton Harris. He attended B.F. Ford and W.P. Daniel and later on he joined the United States Army. During his service time he received several Honors and Awards including the National Defense Service Medal.
At a young age, he joined Union Prospect and later on joined Love Praise Tabernacle. On April 15, 1977, He joined Shirley Jean Ingram Crayton in holy matrimony and to this union two children were born.
