Michael Whitmire Hammond of Centralia, IL and Naples, FL passed away May 23, 2013. He was born July 24, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to James W. Hammond and Edith Payne Hammond Coppedge. He was united in marriage to Donna White who survives.
Michael graduated from the University of Missouri Rolla with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was co-owner of Egyptian Concrete Company and was highly respected in the engineering field as well as an active member of many professional engineering organizations. He enjoyed his professional and personal relationships.
In addition to his wife, Donna of Bonita Springs, FL, he is survived by his two sons, Jerry Hammond of Florissiant, MO and John Hammond of Santa Monica, CA; two daughters, Jane Battina of Bonita Springs, FL and Juli Hammond of Centralia, IL; other relatives and friends.
An inurnment service was held at 1:00 p.m.
