Mary Marjorie Jones, 92, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Beth Haven Nursing Home.
Marjorie was born on November 20, 1926, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Ernest Ervin and Eva Lee (Norris) Rissmiller.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Jones on July 14, 1951, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Jones and wife Cathy of Hannibal, MO and Gary Jones and wife Gina of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Marjorie graduated from Hannibal High School in 1944. She went on to further her education at Chillicothe Business College.
Marjorie worked as an Office Manager at Federal Land Bank &Loan in Hannibal for nineteen years.
Marjorie was talented singer and was a member of the Evening Etudes, Mark Twain Men’s Chorale and sang in the First United Methodist Church Choir.
Mrs. Jones enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, and cooking her family’s favorite “shrimp and wild rice casserole.” In her free time, Marjorie enjoyed watching and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Marjorie’s biggest love was her family and the time they cherished together.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hannibal.
