Mary Gajeski, 94, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, in Good Samaritan Center, Warren.
Mary M. Kujawa, was born on July 30, 1921, in Wright Township, MN, to Martin and Mary (Peplinski) Kujawa. She attended country school and was a longtime resident of the Florian area until she moved to Argyle, MN, in 1990, then to Warren in 2010. On October 29, 1945, Mary was united in marriage to Peter Gajeski in Assumption catholic Church in Florian. The couple made their home in Wright Township where they farmed. Mary was very active in parish life, later becoming a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Argyle. Peter passed away in 1996.
Mary will be remembered for her devotion to the Church, her large gardens and her love for her family.
She is survived by her sister, Anne Long of Del Ray Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Aurelia Kujawa of Argyle; nieces and nephews, Patrick, Jerome (Cathy), Allen, and Dennis Kujawa, Carolyn (Ken) Safranski, Michelle (Keith) Lund, Perry (Tammy) Long, Milissa Long, Debbie (Ron) Prue, Kevin (Cindy) Harris, and Carol Williams; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many relatives from Peter’s side of the family.
In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Ernest Kujawa and Hilaria Harris; and brothers-in-law, Saline “Bud” Harris and Dennis Long.
