Mary Louise Curran Fullerton, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017 in Auburn, Maine. Mary was born November 4, 1921, in Milo, Maine, the seventh of what would be eleven siblings. A bright and dedicated student, she graduated Vice President of her class from Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She served as a nurse in the Army during World War II, and became a first lieutenant on the hospital ship The U.S.S. Milne. In 1947 she married Elihu Fullerton and moved to Bath, Maine. There, she became a mother to their two daughters, Ann and Alice, and a member of St Mary’s parish.

Mary’s love of life, sense of humor, and delight in learning never stopped.  She loved reading, language and word games, card games, line dancing, walking, swimming, and traveling. She took up golf at age 65, became an avid golfer, and even scored two hole-in-ones. She lit up a room with her buoyant personality, her clever jokes, and her genuine delight in those around her.

She is survived by her children, Ann Spencer and Alice Woodman Brawn, and their spouses, Lincoln R. Spencer and Al Brawn, her grandchildren Leah Pereira, Lincoln A. Spencer, Samuel Woodman, and Maria Wilson, and their spouses, Paulo Pereira, Crystal Spencer, Heather Woodman, and Andrew Wilson, and nine great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Betty Ardini of Portsmouth, NH, Pat Perkins of Waterville, Maine, Robert Curran of Randolph, Maine, and Jacqueline and Josephine Curran of Thomaston, Maine, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elihu Fullerton, and siblings, William Curran, Alice McDonough, Helen Martell, John Curran and Hazel Curran.
