Marvin Horter, 84, of Radium, MN, passed away on Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Marvin Paul Horter was born on August 10, 1925 in Oslo, MN, the son of Eleanora Horter and the late Paul Horter. He was a raised in Radium, MN where he attended country school. At the age of 16, Marvin moved to Bremerton, WA where he worked until he enlisted in the US Army. He served in Japan during the occupation. After his discharge, he returned to Radium. Marvin was a life long farmer. On March 22, 1963, he married Lois Brasgalla. They made their home in Radium. Marvin also worked for American Crystal Sugar for twenty-three years as an assistant chemist.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Radium and Warren American Legion Post #27.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Lois; three children, Sara Horter and fiancAC.e, Andy Wallem of New Market, MN, Darren and Deb Horter of Grand Forks, ND and Janice and David Findley of Frisco, TX; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter and sister.
