Marie Antoinette Greeen of Troy, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born August 28, 1926 in Medford, MA to Francis and Marie (Laflamme) Sokolski. On January 9, 1944, she was united in marriage to Delmar Green in Summersville, MA who preceded her in death on April 19, 1981.
She will be sadly missed by her one son, John Green and wife Karen of Troy, MO; one daughter, Janice Blagg and husband Tom of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Malott, Loyd Wayne Malott and wife Suzanne, Kathy Hamilton and husband Josh, DeAnna Armer, Delilah Cecil, Ed Green, Thomas Blagg and Jackie Lynn.; seven great-grandchildren, Leah, Holly, Lucas and Sophie Malott, Alyssa and Kalobe Green and Josie Lynn; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmar; two daughters, Jonie Mallot and Deborah Armer; one sister, Frances Fergerson.
Marie was of the Catholic faith and had been a member of St. Michael’s Church in Steelville many years ago. After retiring from Brown Shoe Company, she moved to St. Louis to be near some of her children.
She enjoyed watching game shows on tv, but most of all enjoyed being around her family.
