Marian Majkut, 92, of Warren, MN, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, MN.
Marian Magdalene Narlock was born in rural Oslo, MN, on August 15, 1923, to Harry and Mary (Rapacz) Narlock. She graduated from high school at the convent and attended college in Rome, Italy. Marian served the Church as a Sister of the Resurrection and was involved in Educational Administration and teaching. She also served guiding and counseling of students at both the elementary and secondary level in Chicago and New York for many years.
After receiving dispensation from the Church, Marian was united in marriage to Stanley Majkut on March 1, 1975, in St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater, FL. She retired from the Midwest to Florida, where she spent 14 years employed by the Pinellas County Government in the St. Petersburg Traffic Court Division. Her beloved husband passed away on March 30, 1999, and in March 2002, Marian moved to Warren to be near family. She joined Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was active in Church ministry for many years.
Marian is survived by her siblings, Sylvester Narlock of Warren, Danny Narlock of Grand Forks, ND, and Eleanor Bergeron, of Warren; sisters-in-law, Esther, Dorothy, and Seline Narlock; brother-in-law, Ernie Schanilec; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Francis, Margaret, Sr. Cecelianne, Richard, Dorothy, Joe, Andrew, and Joyce; and several brothers-and-sisters-in-law.
