Margaret Mischel, 88, of Crookston, MN, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN and Angus, MN, passed away on Sunday morning, February 8, 2009 at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston.

Margaret Miska was born on February 27, 1920 in Tabor, MN, the daughter of William and Mary (Adamek) Miska. She was raised in the Tabor area and she graduated from Warren High School in 1938. On November 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to William Mischel at Tabor. They made their home in Angus until 1981 when they moved to East Grand Forks, MN. William died on September 16, 1989.

She was a lifetime member of the Farley Homemakers and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul’s Alter Society. Margaret had many hobbies including gardening, sewing, quilting, crocheting, doing needlework and ceramics and bowling.

Left to mourn her passing are four children: Roger (Bobbi) Mischel of Warren, MN, Robert (Paula) Mischel of Plano, TX, Dennis (Gayle) Mischel of Springfield, VA and Mary Jean Mischel of Addison, TX; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Lillian) Miska of Alexandria, MN and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William and two brothers, Richard Miska and Henry Miska.
