Lucyle C. Corser, age 99, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Guardian Angels Healthcare Center in Hibbing. She was born October 30, 1912, in Hibbing, the daughter of Henry and Mae (Gorrell) Cons. She graduated from Hibbing High School, and went on to receive her AA degree from Hibbing Jr. College. Lucyle was united in marriage to Hartford “Hubby” Corser in Hibbing.
Lucyle worked For FW Woolworths in Hibbing, and then worked for Pickands Mather for 32 years – retiring in 1976. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing and the Sr. Citizens (tourist center) group. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, sewing and handcrafts. Lucyle liked to go fishing and hunting at Janet Lake with her dog Peter. She also cheered for the Twins.
Lucyle is survived by two nieces: Florene (Gene) Alcorn of Macon, IL, and Maria (Robert) Christian of Decatur, IL; and a nephew: Charles (Jean) Robbins of Chanhassen, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Hartford (1980); two sisters: Florence and Cleone; and a brother: Charles.
