LeRay Crumes passed away on April 25, 2018 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia Crumes nee Luckett of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his sister, Darlene (Ernest) Simon of Eolia, MO; brother, Vincent Crumes of Flint Hill, MO; two sons, Kevin Crumes of O’Fallon, MO, Keith (Flora) Crumes of O’Fallon, MO; two daughters, Brenda (Henry) Davis of Wentzville, MO, Barbara Ann (Anthony) Love of Wentzville, MO; ten, grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Bevel Crumes, mother, Gusta Crumes, wife, Cecilia Crumes, sister, Lorrine Buffington, brother, Alvin Crumes, brother, Elroy Crumes, brother, Wilbert Crumes, son, Kenneth Crumes. LeRay accepted Christ at an early age and was a loyal servant. LeRay loved to read his bible and you could always hear him saying, “I love the Lord Jesus Christ.” He held many positions in the church and was a member of Wesley Smith United Methodist Chapel in Wright City. He served our Country in the Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper. After the war, he worked as a construction Laborer. He enjoyed hunting, building and gardening and had a artistic talent for drawing. Above all he loved his family, people in general and especially his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
