Leo Albert Crummy passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home near Argyle, MN. He was born August 20, 1922 to Walter J. and Regina (Fitzsimmons) Crummy on the family farm south of Argyle.
Leo attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Argyle High School in 1942, after taking one year off to assist in rebuilding the family home which had been destroyed by a fire. In his youth, he was a member of the Middle River 4-H club and often sang with his siblings at church and community events.
In 1944, Leo enlisted in the Army Air Corp where he trained to be a B-17 Ball Turret Gunner.
