Leland Wayne Greenwalt of Park Hills, Missouri, formerly of Wesco, MO passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was born November 9, 1942 in Wesco, Missouri to Kenneth Greenwalt and Marie Howdeshell Greenwalt. In May of 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Anderson. After her passing, he was united in marriage to Nancy Catlow Schwab in 1999.
Leland served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1968. He worked at a rubber seal factory and retired after forty years.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Park Hills and a lifetime member of the Teamsters Union #688.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Ellen Greenwalt; one infant son, Kenneth Greenwalt; one brother, Calvin Greenwalt; one sister, Charlotte Payne and husband Don; brother-in-law, Don Adams; and one granddaughter, Jessica.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Greenwalt of Park Hills, MO; son, Alfred Greenwalt and wife Rebecca of Festus, MO; four brothers, Melvin Greenwalt and wife Ada of Steelville, MO, Henry Howdeshell and wife Sharon of Cherryville, MO, Larry Howdeshell and wife Dottie of St. James, MO and Garry Howdeshell of St. Joseph, MO; sister, Sheila Howdeshell of OK; four step-daughters, Debby Schwab, Linda Twibell, Cindy Rankin and husband Eric and Brenda Wooten and husband Kevin; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Greenwalt of OK, Janice Adams of Belle, MO and Kay Voss and husband Joe of Arnold, MO; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
