Obituary
Layton Walter Rehmeier passed away on May 30, 2018 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of Dera Mae Rehmeier nee Paul of Augusta, Missouri; He is survived by his two sons, Rick (Benita) Rehmeier of Augusta, MO, Dean (Mary) Rehmeier of Augusta, MO; two daughters, Faye Ann (Andrew) Fairchild of Benton City, MO, Sara Lynn (Curt) Fellhoelter of Deepwater, MO; ten grandchildren, Eric (Anita), Nick, Brian (Becky), and Justin Rehmeier, Amy (Nick) Barron, Adam, Aaron, and Anthony Fairchild, Levi and Lana Fellhoelter; eight great-grandchildren, Keegan, Hunter, Ryleigh, Jack, and Emma Rehmeier, Lane, and Nash Barron, and Kasen Fairchild; He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Rehmeier, mother, Clara Rehmeier nee Joerling. Layton was a member of Femme Osage United Church of Christ. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. Layton served in the U.S. Army. He married his lovely wife on October 15th 1955. Layton enjoyed trapshooting, farming, and hunting. He was a member of numerous associations including Augusta American Legion Post 262, New Melle V. F. W, Washington Elks, Missouri Trapshoots Association, A. T. A. Missouri Pork Association and Saint Charles County Pork Producers. Layton will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
