Mr. Kenya Jawaan “KJ” Hill, 31, was born May 21, 1985 in Batesville, MS to Aundrey and Carolyn Hill. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Rivers Hill Church of Christ in Oxford, MS.
Kenya was educated in the Oxford City Schools and attended Northwest Mississippi Community College. Kenya was always an upbeat, friendly and outgoing man that loved his family and friends.
On Saturday March 18 2017 at 12:45 a.m., Kenya departed this life at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His grandfather, J.C. Rockette, preceded him in death.
Kenya’s loving memories are cherished by his mother Carolyn Hill and father Aundrey Hill of Oxford, MS; wife, April Hill of Warrenton, OR; five daughters, Kaliyah Hill and Kayla Hill of Oxford, MS, Niala Hill, Ciara Bailey, and Kian Bailey all of Warrenton, OR; four brothers, Derrick Hill of Myrtle, MS, Andre “Chase” Hill of Oxford, MS, Devontra Harwell of Pflugerville, TX, and jalend of Marks, MS; two sisters, Ajala of Marks, MS and Ayvah Gazelle of Memphis, TN; grandparents, Margaret Rockette Johnson and Douglas and Lula Hill all of Oxford, MS and Gertrude Owens of Water Valley, MS; a special friend, Tekela Burnett; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
