Kenneth Dufault, 88, Argyle, MN, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.

Joseph Kenneth Dufault was born on March 25, 1921 on a farm near Stephen, MN, the son of Louis and Blanche (Perrault) Dufault. He was a life long resident of the Argyle area where he attended country school and St. Joseph’s Academy through 8th grade. He graduated high school from the Northwest School of Agriculture College in Crookston, MN. After high school he moved to California where he worked with his cousin in the dry cleaning business and at Consolidated Aircraft near San Diego. He entered the Army Air Corps on January 31, 1943 at Fort Snelling, MN. He was a trained gunner and armorer with a bomber crew at various camps throughout the United States and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He sailed from New York on November 1, 1944 to England where he and his crew joined the 466th Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force. He flew 28 missions over Germany which earned him an air medal and four oak leaf clusters. After the war he returned to Argyle where he farmed with his brother, Morris. On June 11, 1947, he was united in marriage to Theresa Kuznia. They farmed in the Argyle area and raised a family.

Kenneth was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Argyle American Legion, Argyle Centennial Board, charter member of the Argyle Lions, Argyle Fire Department and the Grand Forks Elks. He also served on the Argyle Co-Op Warehouse Board as secretary and the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation Board. He also owned Ken’s Heating in the Argyle area for many years.

He loved flying his airplane, fishing, elk hunting with his buddies, golf, music, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and most of all, his wife Theresa.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Theresa; five children, Mark (Dallas) Dufault of Argyle, MN, Robert (Lana) Dufault of Argyle, MN, Jim (Susan) Dufault of San Diego, CA, Mary Niles of Kenosha, WI and Diane (Rick) Kruger of Mendota Heights, MN; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor (Kenneth) Bergeron of Argyle, MN; one brother, Duane (Louise) Dufault of Mt. Shasta, CA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Morris and son-in-law, Mark Bittner.
