John Thomas Hunt passed away on July 21, 2007 at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN at the age of 58.
John was born on December 25, 1948 in Madison, WI to Donna (Kriel) and Ralph Hunt. He moved to Thief River Falls as a child and graduated from Thief River Falls High School in 1966. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1967, until his honorable discharge in 1971. He and Claudette (Woller) were married on June 6, 1992 in Warroad. John worked in the construction field until he started working as a custodian at the Warroad School district in 1992. In 2006, his health forced him to end his employment at the school.
John enjoyed hunting and fishing, driving his motorcycle, and was previously active in the Thief River Falls V.F.W.
He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Donna Hunt of Thief River Falls, MN; siblings, Cherie (Gerald) Theisen, Jeff (Vicki) Hunt, Don (Sherry) Hunt, Tom (Della) Hunt and Susan Wickstrom; brother-in-law, Tom Woller; step-children, Wayne George, Randy George, Vickie Voll, and Johnny Brandli; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette in 2005; and a sister, Jennifer.
