Obituary
John O. Schmitt passed away on May 5, 2018 at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn J. Schmitt nee Westhoff of Wright City, MO; He is survived by his son, Larry (Terri) Schmitt of Warrenton, MO; two daughters, Linda Schmitt of Wright City, MO, Lisa Schmitt of Wright City, MO; two grandsons, Cody Schmitt, Jessie Vohsen; great-grandson, Steve Schmitt; He is preceded in death by his Father, James Schmitt, Mother, Hazel Schmitt nee Friese, son, Garry Schmitt, brother, James Schmitt. John was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. John served his country in the United States Army. He was active in many businesses as owner of Smitty’s Package Liquor, Smitty’s Excavating, Little Dixie Ice Company in Perry, MO, owner of NAPA Auto Parts Store, and Smitty’s Laundry Mat. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
