Obituary
John H. Thomassen Sr. passed away on September 17, 2018 at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia Thomassen of Defiance, Missouri; He is survived by his son, John (Aisha) Thomassen Jr. of Lake Saint Louis, MO; daughter Vicki Thomassen of Defiance; four granddaughters, Alyssa (Sean) Martin, Courtney Franke, Julie Thomassen, Aubri Thomassen, one grandson, Jordon Thomassen; great-grandson, Rowan (Thumper); sister Donna Thomassen; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry John Thomassen, mother, Ida Mae Thomassen nee Cartwright, sister, Patricia Mae Alter. John was a retired carpenter and the loving husband of Cindy married over 51 years. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and playing on his outdoor toys. He was a loving Pa-Pa and great-Pa-Pa and was always the life of the party. He will be forever remembered by his laugh. John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
