Bath- John F. Doyle, 75, of Ridge Road died Monday May 15, 2017 at Freeport Nursing and Rehab Center in Freeport.
He was born in Lewiston on February 15, 1942, a son of John F. and Frances R. (Hurley) Doyle.
He graduated from Lewiston High School where he was very athletic and was All State in Football and Basketball. He attended Husson College and joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed for L & A Tire in Lewiston as a salesman for nine years. In 1977 he was employed at Bath Iron Works as a crane operator until 1997 then to the main plant, retiring in 2012. He was formerly married to Marlene Doyle.
He was a member of the Bath Lodge of Elks, American Legion, Post 21 in Bath as Past Department Commander in 2008 and the Bath and Brunswick Golf Courses.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte “Kittie” Doyle of Bath, one son, Timothy Doyle of Green, three daughters, Maureen White of Green, Laurie Garrity of Green and Shauna Davis of Leeds, one step son, Ronald Wing and his wife Raven of Brunswick, one brother in law, Norman Roy of Hampton, MA, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Katherine “Kay” Roy and one stepson, Jeffrey Wing.
