Durham- Jessica Lynn Abbott, 20 of Durham, passed away as result of a car accident on Saturday July 19, 2014.
Jessica was born in Portland, Maine on May 26, 1994, the daughter of Tina Campbell and Paul Abbott. Jessica graduated from Freeport high school in 2012. She was involved in Skills USA and Vice President of Jobs for Maine Graduates. Jessica attended Region 10 for Culinary Arts which brought her to her first job. Jessica enjoyed catering with Susan Taylor. She also enjoyed doing Cafe with “Cheffy”. Jessica was a hard worker she worked many jobs the last being Nordica theater where she worked her way up to Assistant Manager. Jessica’s favorite and most loved job was babysitting and being “big sister” to the many young children in her life. Jessica always made special time for her kid friends whether it be four wheeling, golf carting, movies, the beach, or going for a random bike ride just hours before her passing. Jessica also enjoyed family time but enjoyed her time with her close friends.
Jessica loved to travel including a trip to Wyoming in March of 2013, as well as a solo trip to Rhode Island. Jessica was looking forward to a trip to New Jersey in the coming weeks. She was very courageous, adventurous and carefree. All that knew her felt she was a very confident young lady. She had the ability to light up a room and make people laugh without trying. As said by her young friends “We might have only had a short time with her, but to us it is worth the pain because we were lucky to have known a person like Jessie “
Jessica resided with her loving parents Tina Campbell and Tim Huntley. She also leaves behind her sister Ashley Abbott. “Jezzie”also leaves behind two cousins “Loveyyy” ~and “Love Bug”. Jessica was predeceased by her loving grandmother Andrea Campbell. She also leaves behind her grandmother Donna Snay and grandfather Ernest Abbott. ~Grandfather David Campbell and his wife Pamela. Great grandparents John and Nellie Campbell. Great grandparents Donald and ~Aldefreia White. Loved by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.
