Survived by his wife, Jean Dovell Lavin, as well as 4 children; Sheree Norton of Columbia, MD, Catherine Magers of Dayton, MD, Gina Speaks of Burtonsville, MD, and Kimberley Frye of Laurel, MD. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandson.
