James Lynn Stafford, 76, of Steelville, MO passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his home. He was born January 21, 1933 to Clyde and Lillian Stafford in Hickman, Kentucky. On May 21, 1987 in Steelville, MO, he was married to Agnes Bass who survives of the home.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Agnes Stafford of Steelville, MO; one brother, Gary Lee Stafford and wife Carol of Chesterfield, MO; two step-sons, Robert “Bear” Bass and Stephan Bass and wife Julie of Steelville, MO; three sons, David, Tim and Philipp Stafford; two step-grandsons, Brendan and Trent Bass; nieces, Christine, Michelle and Maureen; other relatives and friends.
James served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to January of 1958. He was employed at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Corporation in St. Louis from 1959 until his retirement in 1988. Later, he worked for Robert “Bear” Bass and Stephan Bass at Bass River Resort.
