Obituary
James “Jim” Stanley passed away on August 24, 2018 at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Simpkins of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Mickey) Powell of Colleyville, TX; step-son, Terry (Cori) Simpkins of Lake Sherwood, MO; two granddaughters, Brittany Powell, of TX, Marli Simpkins of MO; grandson, Collin Powell, of TX; many in-laws and other family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Buford Stanley, mother, Hazel Stanley nee McCloud, sister, Carol Howard. Jim proudly served our country in the U.S. Army including 17 years overseas in Japan, Germany, Vietnam and Korea. He was a loving family man and also loved his dog Charmin. He enjoyed his retirement being with his family. Jim was a great story teller and loved history and political dynamics. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed all sports especially baseball and football. He also loved family Christmas and the outdoors watching eagles. Jim looked forward to family trips to the Ozarks and was always ready for a road trip. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
