Ida Rose Yocom, 87 of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. Mrs. Yocom was born July 22, 1933, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to the late Samuel “Sam” Delmas Bosarge and Sylvia Rose Hudgens Bosarge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Louis Elliot “L.E.” Yocom and her sons, Louis E. “Louie” Yocom, Jr. and Samuel James Yocom.

Mrs. Yocom was a rural mail carrier and long-time school crossing guard in Gautier. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Pascagoula and served as a leader for the Missionettes girls’ group for many years. Mrs. Yocom was by nature a strong woman in faith, opinion, and estimation that Drew Brees was the greatest of all time.

 Mrs. Yocom is survived by her daughter Deborah R. (Mitch) Moorman of Franklin Creek and Thomas W. (Cindy) Yocom of Vancleave. She is survived by one sister, Frances Williams of Escatawpa and three brothers, Norman Bosarge of Orange Grove, Clyde (Barbara) Bosarge of Pascagoula, and Gary (Donna) Bosarge of Escatawpa. She is survived by five grandchildren, Preston O. (Tina) Crosslin, III of Gautier, Abigayle A. Yocom of London, England, Chad D. (Faith) Crosslin of Gautier, Mitchell C. Moorman of Pascagoula, and Leslie M. Moorman of Gautier. Mrs. Yocom enjoyed the blessings of great-grandchildren Trey D. Crosslin, Hannah G. Waltman, Hope E. Crosslin, Hadley S. Moorman and D.W. Barbour.
