Hilma Mae Adams, nee Davis, of Linn, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 11, at her home at the age of  96 years. She was born December 23, 1916 in Davisville, Missouri to Roy Allen Davis and Frances Estella “Fannie”  Martin Davis. She was united in  marriage on October 24, 1934 to Treffie Howard Adams who preceded her in death in 1993. 


Hilma attended the Liberty Baptist Church in Linn, MO. She loved singing and reading and spent many hours sewing and quilting.


She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Arnold Howard Adams and wife Ella of Lubbering, MO and Gordon Hugh Adams and wife Joyce of St. Clair, MO; three daughters, Roberta Clayton of Isabella, MO, Mary Alice Wilson of Ocala, FL and Patty Sue Decker and husband Melvin of Linn, MO; one sister, JoAnn Crabtree and husband Robert of Bourbon, MO; four sisters in-law, Ina Davis of Steelville, MO, Mildred Davis of St. Louis, MO, Elsie Davis of Overland, MO and Bernice Adams of Viburnum, MO; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; forty-three great great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Treffie; one son, Roger Wayne Adams; one daughter, Rowena Marcella Turnbough and husband Eugene; son in-laws, Leroy Clayton and Orville Wilson; brothers, Louis Davis and wife Agnes, Glen Davis and wife Virginia, Gilbert Davis, Jack Davis and wife Ina, Max Davis, Gene Davis and Lydell Davis; sisters, Nerene McGlasson and husband Bruce and Hazel Gibbs and husband Ray; brothers in-law, Jake Adams, Clifford Adams and wife Gertie; sisters in-law, Minerva Arisman and husband Willard and Nellie Gillam and husband Les;  three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Honored to be casket bearers were Keith Adams, Chris Adams, Jerry Gamblin, Kelly Turnbough, Veronica Decker and Penny Johnson.
