Bath – Hazel C. Bowe, 62, of Court Street died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with her family by her side.
She was born in Damariscotta on March 28, 1955, a daughter of Malcolm R. and Georgia C. (Ellis) Benner Sr. In 1974 she graduated from Lincoln Academy. In 1986 she met Michael P. Bowe and they married on January 1, 1994.
Hazel enjoyed listening to bluegrass music while camping at festivals. Before her stroke is 2015 she enjoyed knitting and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Michael P. Bowe of Bath, one daughter, Heather Bailey and her husband Wendell of Bath, two sons, Tony L. Lawrence and his wife Dina Moore of Topsham and Aaron M. Bowe of Bath, one brother, Malcolm “Macky” Benner Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Wiscasset, three sisters, Donna Leeman and her husband Craig of Bristol, Sarah Elwell and her husband Jerry of Damariscotta and Terry Creamer and her husband Gary of Woolwich, 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
