Harry Marvin Pettey, age 75, of Pascagoula, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022. He was born December 29, 1946 in Pascagoula and proudly served his country in the United States Army as a combat medic during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed socializing with friends around town at local restaurants and pubs and was know for his refined palette and his singular wit. Mr. Pettey was a Merchant Marine and traveled extensively all over the world as a Chief Engineer. Harry was a member of V.F.W. in Pascagoula.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Pettey; parents, Clarence Amos Pettey and Yvonne (nee’ Kendrick) Petty; two brothers, Chris Pettey and David Pettey; nephew, Timothy McDuffee.
Those left behind to cherish and honor his memory include his son, Joey Pettey (Sheila); grandchildren, Merredith Pettey and Devin Pettey; brother, Gary Pettey (Linda), and Teresa Petty McDuffee (Michael); nieces and nephews, Milissa Pettey, Mark Pettey (Julie), Misty Mears (Kenneth), and Jacob McDuffee (Jackie); other family members and his many cherished friends.
