Greta Kuznia, 81, of Stephen, MN, passed away on early Saturday morning, October 17, 2009 at Parkwood Place in Grand Forks, ND.
Greta Ann Woinarowicz was born on July 23, 1928 in Drayton, ND, the daughter of Michael and Helen (Landowski) Woinarowicz. She was raised in rural Stephen where she attended country school. On October 28, 1947, she married Thomas Kuznia at Drayton. They made their home in Stephen where they raised five children.
She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and its Ladies’ Aid.
Her kind and gentle nature was shared with her children, grandchildren and close friends.
Greta loved to do scrapbooking and photo albums. She was very organized and was always eager to give a helping hand, abiding by the Golden Rule.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Thomas; five children, Gerald (Marilyn) Kuznia of Stephen, MN, Don (Cathy) Kuznia of Grand Forks, ND, Mary Ann Gregoire and Jim Gregoire of Grand Forks, ND, Colette Kuznia of Fargo, ND and Joanne (Cam) Fanfulik of Warren, MN; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joy (Larry) LaHaise and Bonnie (Pete) Brown all of Drayton, ND; brother, Caren (Carol) Woinarowicz of Drayton, ND and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Helen Woinarowicz and stepmother, Helen.
The family would like to thank all staff at Parkwood Place in Grand Forks for the loving care they provided for Greta.
