Gladys Erickson, 91, of Warren, MN, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.

Gladys Larson was born on October 29, 1917 in Newfolden, MN, the daughter of Albert and Clara (Lee) Larson. She spent her early years in Newfolden where she attended school. Gladys attained her teacher’s training in Warren and taught school at Espelie Township for a short time. On June 25, 1939, she married Oscar Erickson at Thief River Falls, MN. They made their home in Moylan Township where they farmed. In 1950, they moved to Warren after Oscar was elected Sheriff. Oscar died on February 22, 1991.

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was the Sunday School Superintendent for 15 years. Gladys was also a member of Hobby Homemakers and was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader.

Left to mourn her passing are four children, Coralyn (Dwight) Sedlacek of Stillwater, MN, Leon (Kathryn) Erickson, Rodney (Deborah) Erickson and Bruce (Phyllis) Erickson all of Warren, MN; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two sisters, Laura Roppe of Thief River Falls, MN and Harriet Kujava of Thief River Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Roger Allen Erickson and brother, Lester Larson.
