Geraldine Joyce Marvel, the daughter of Mary (Troska) and John Sharo, was born on January 16, 1933 in Whiting, Indiana. She grew up and attended St. John’s Grade school and graduated from Clark High School both in Whiting. She and Robert Marvel were married on June 14, 1952 at St. John’s Baptist Church in Whiting. They moved to Wisconsin for a short while and settled in Warroad, MN in 1976. She was employed by Christian Brothers, and later, Marvin Windows and Doors from 1977 to 2001. After her husband Bob’s death in 2001, she retired.
Geraldine was very active in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serving in many capacities.
